Learn how to safely log in to Ledger Live and connect your Ledger hardware wallet to manage crypto securely.

What Does Login Mean in Ledger Live?

Unlike traditional apps, Ledger Live does not require a username or password. Instead, your Ledger hardware wallet is your login key. Each time you open Ledger Live, you’ll need to connect your device and unlock it with a PIN to access your accounts.

How to Log In to Ledger Live

Download and install Ledger Live on your desktop or mobile device.
Open the application and connect your Ledger Nano X or Nano S Plus via USB or Bluetooth (for Nano X mobile).
Enter your device’s PIN code directly on the Ledger device.
Open the Ledger Live app — it will automatically detect and authenticate your wallet.
Access your accounts, portfolio, and transactions once the device is verified.

Optional Security Settings

Password lock: Set an app-level password in Ledger Live for extra protection.
Ledger Live Manager PIN: Adds another step before accessing app settings.
Biometric login: On mobile devices, you can enable fingerprint or Face ID login.

Troubleshooting Login Issues

If Ledger Live doesn’t recognize your device:

Ensure your device firmware and Ledger Live app are updated.
Try a different USB cable or port.
Restart Ledger Live and reconnect your device.
Check that you’ve entered the correct PIN on the device.

⚠️ Reminder: Your 24-word recovery phrase is never used to log in to Ledger Live. Only enter it into your Ledger device if you are restoring a wallet.
